VNA Health Group Foundation Elects New Trustees

RED BANK – Visiting Nurse Association Health Group Foundation has elected new members to its VNA Health Group Foundation Board of Trustees.
The foundation board of trustees is responsible for securing philanthropic support and raising community awareness of the organization.
New board members are Alice DiFiglia, Maria Polansky and Jeannie Wheat.
DiFiglia brings a rich background of fundraising and special event experience to the foundation board. She recently served as a cochair of VNA Health Group’s 2013 Stately Homes By-the-Sea Designer Show House. She also has been chairperson and committee member of the Rumson Education Foun­dation Kitchen Tour. DiFiglia served as a board member for Family and Children’s Service in Long Branch for five years along with serving as its gala chairperson for three years. She lives in Little Silver.
Polansky has served on VNA Health Group’s Power of the Purse Committee. She also is a member of the East Brunswick Social Services Advisory Council, working on the food pantry, holiday gifting program, Feinstein Founda­tion Hunger Chal­lenge and fall food drive. Her community service volunteer work in­cludes being a council member at Franklin and Marshall College, Elijah’s Promise Soup Kitchen, Feed the Children Organization, McCarrick Care Center, Women Aware and the American Red Cross. She also has career experience as a special events coordinator and assistant advertising manager at Konica USA, Inc. as well as a licensing manager and special events project manager for GUND, Inc. She lives in East Brunswick.
Wheat is a Realtor associate who has been marketing and selling luxury homes in the Jersey Shore area for 15 years. Wheat is licensed with Ward Wight Sotheby’s Inter­national Realty in Spring Lake. She is an active member of the South Monmouth Board of Realtors where she chairs the excellence committee; she also has been awarded South Monmouth Board Realtor of the Year. Wheat has volunteered at the VNACJ Thrift and Consignment Shop and served on the committees for Stately Homes By-the-Sea Designer Show House and Centennial Gala. She cochairs the VNAHG Annual Holiday Dinner Dance at Spring Lake Golf Club that benefits VNA Health Group hospice services and programs. She lives in Wall.
