RED BANK – Volunteers are needed to clean up and tend to the rose beds at Riverside Gardens on Front Street from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 22.
A group of dedicated volunteers have been tending to the rose beds, cutting back the roses, removing dead wood, weeding and digging out invasive vine for several years. Scouts, high school students and community members have worked at the gardens several times throughout the growing season.
All members of the community are invited to join in helping to maintain and improve the gardens. Wear warm clothes and work gloves. Tools and bottled water will be provided.
The rain date is Sunday, March 23. For more information contact Bob Hespe at hespeb@aol.com.
