9/25 – Voter Registration Deadline is Oct. 14

FREEHOLD – The deadline is fast approaching for those wishing to vote in the Nov. 4 general election. Registration must be completed by Oct. 14, which is 21 days prior to Election Day.
Residents may register at the Monmouth County Voter Registration Office, 300 Halls Mills Road in Freehold Township from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The office will remain open until 9 p.m. Oct. 14 for those who need to come in the evening.
Those wishing to register may also do so at their municipal clerk’s office and call the office for hours and location.
Those who wish to register by mail may download the New Jersey voter registration application. The form can be found on the county clerk’s section of the Monmouth County website at www.visitmonmouth.com.
A driver’s license number or the last four digits of your Social Security number must be entered on the New Jersey Voter Registration form.
“I urge everyone to exercise their right to vote and register for the fall elections,” Monmouth County Clerk M. Claire French said.  “Registration is easy and the right to vote is the cornerstone of our nation’s freedom and continued liberties.”
In order to register to vote, those eligible must be at least 18 years of age and a U.S. Citizen by the Nov. 4 General Election.
