LONG BRANCH – In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Jacqueline M. Wilentz Comprehensive Breast Center at Monmouth Medical Center will provide two free breast education and screening programs during October.
The programs will feature free clinical breast exams and screening mammograms. Same-day mammogram reads will be available. Each event will also feature assessment for the High Risk Cancer Program, breast health education, refreshments and giveaways.
The free breast education and screening programs at the Jacqueline M. Wilentz Breast Center locations will be:

  • Saturday, Oct. 11, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Jacqueline M. Wilentz Comprehensive Breast Center at Monmouth Medical Center, 300 Second Ave., Long Branch.
  • Thursday, Oct. 30, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Jacqueline M. Wilentz Breast Center at Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus, 500 River Ave., Suite 200, Lakewood.

Screenings are open to insured and uninsured women. Screenings for uninsured women are made possible by a grant from the Central and South Jersey Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. If insured, insurance information will be required at time of registration.
Appointments are available by calling 732-923-7700, option 1. Each program is limited to 50 screening appointments, so early registration is suggested.
