Workshop to Offer Caregivers Resources, Skills, Help

NEPTUNE – The Monmouth County Office on Aging will sponsor a workshop, entitled Caring for the Caregiver, from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, at the Monmouth County Connection, 3544 State Highway 66. The workshop is targeted to anyone caring for an elderly friend or loved one. Presented by Monmouth County Caregiver Specialist Colleen Smith, the program will educate family caregivers about support and resources that are available, tools and techniques to manage stress, and more. Originally presented in February, the program is being repeated in April due to the great response. The workshop is free and open to all Monmouth County residents, but registration is required and may be complete by calling 732-303-2828.
The Monmouth County Connection is a new office of County government offers a variety of services including passports, passport photos, free notary public, veterans’ IDs, election/voter information, senior and veterans’ services, public access computers and more.
