To The Editor:
I am holding a local gathering for Amnesty International’s Annual Global Write-a-thon at Jamian’s in Red Bank from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 11, the last day of the ten-day Write-a-thon. At the gathering we’ll write letters on behalf of a dozen prisoners of conscience who are victims of abuse and injustice.Even in our tough economic times, it is good to think about people in other parts of the world who have acted boldly but peacefully and have their basic human rights denied.
