Edward A. Zelenick, 74, of Tinton Falls, passed away on Sunday, March 26 at home. He was born in New York City to the late Edward and Gladys (Kowalczyk) Zelenick and lived in Middle Village, Queens, before settling in Tinton Falls in 1979. Edward had a passion for fishing, hunting, and boating. He operated Rent-A-Kid which served the Rumson-Fair Haven community helping provide jobs for teenage youth. He also owned The Wash House in Fair Haven since 1993 that his family will continue to operate in his honor.

He was predeceased by his sister, Gladys Farricker. Surviving are his loving wife of 51 years, Geraldine (Callanan) Zelenick; his two beloved daughters, Gerilynn and her husband Charles Lucia and Adrienne and her husband Mark Agresti; and was the proud grandfather to seven cherished granddaughters, Olivia, Sarah, and Emilie Lucia and Madeline, Mia, Ava, and Amelia Agresti.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 2 at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank, from 2 to 6 p.m. A mass will be celebrated at St. James Roman Catholic Church on Monday, April 3 at 10 a.m. Cremation will be private.
