Edith Curtis Borden, age 61, of Rumson, passed away in her home on Tuesday, Jan. 2. Born on Mar. 9, 1954, she was predeceased by her father, William Howard Borden; her mother, Mary Bruno Borden; and her niece, Leah Lorenza Acuna. Edith is survived by her sister, Vanna Borden Acuna; her nephew, Jason William Acuna; and her niece, Elena Mary Acuna.
Edith’s many interests included music, politics, animal care, cooking and world cultures. She spent years volunteering for the Monmouth County SPCA, Eatontown, and for the Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic, Princeton. Several local choirs and theater groups were blessed with her beautiful soprano voice.
