George T. Brew, 88, of Sea Bright passed away on Friday, May 13. George was born in Brooklyn, New York and lived in Sea Bright for many years. George attended Holy Cross Church in Rumson. He was an avid marathon runner, running many times with his friend, George Sheehan. He often spoke Latin. George was a history teacher for the Rumson School System at Forrestdale School. After his retirement he tutored many students.
George was predeceased by his first wife, Ellen; and their son, George; and his second wife, Carol; and two brothers, Thomas “Jean” and John Brew. He is survived by his sister, Mary Brew Deegan of Perth Amboy; and several nieces and nephews.
Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank, was in charge of arrangements.
