Gina Cesario, 81, of Shrewsbury, passed away on Monday, April 18. Gina was born in Chicago, Illinois. She lived in Indiana prior to moving to Shrewsbury in 2004. Gina was the current president of The Rumson Seniors and an active parishioner of Holy Cross Church in Rumson.
She was known to everyone as “Nonna” and her heart belonged to her eight grandchildren: Bianca, Sam, Christopher, Chelsea, Haley, Samantha, A.J. and Oliviannah. Her pride and joy was her family and she could be heard by all cheering on her grandchildren at their many activities and school shows.
Gina was predeceased by her husband, Santo R. Cesario; and her son, Dino Cesario. She is survived by her sons, Salvatore and his wife Carol of Matawan and Anthony and his wife Lauren of Monmouth Beach; and her daughter-in-law, Kathy Cesario of Rumson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 21 at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, 30 Ward Avenue, Rumson. Interment will be private. In celebration of her life, memorial donations may be made to Dino Cesario Memorial Foundation, Holy Cross Church, 30 Ward Ave., Rumson, NJ 07760.
