Jim Clark, 86, of Jackson, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, August 19 at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. Born in 1929, in Los Angeles, California, to Les and Irene Clark, he lived his life in California, Puerto Rico and ultimately settled in New Jersey.

Jim graduated Compton College, California, with an associate degree. After serving in the Army, he received an honorable discharge and took a job with Sea Land Inc., where he worked until his retirement in 1992. His job allowed him to travel internationally including many cities in Europe and Asia.

Jim was also a Mason and past master at the Sunnyside Lodge in Los Angeles, California. Jim was a musician an avid reader and always kept his Kindle close by.

Jim was an active member of the Embury United Methodist Church in Little Silver.

Jim is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jeanne; sons, Mark (Cindy) and Dana (Bobbi); six grandchildren, Heidi (John), Casey, Alaina, Greg (Caymee), Killian and Devin; nieces, Tiffany (Ben) and Shannon (Juan); and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 25 at 11 a.m. at Embury United Methodist Church, Little Silver. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Embury United Methodist Church, 49 Church St., Little Silver, NJ 07739.
