The Pilgrim Baptist Church of Red Bank hosted a Community Unity festival on Saturday, May 4, on the church’s Shrewsbury Avenue grounds.The event, which began with a parade from the Cheesequake rest area on the Garden State Parkway, included a blessing of the bikes. Bikers where greeted by church pastor the Rev. Terrence K. Porter, a bike enthusiast who rides a 1200 Harley Sportster. The event included health screenings, live music, food and games for the kids. The proceeds from the event will be donated to the Center of Asbury Park and the Lunch Break Food Kitchen.
