Tina M. Costa, 91, of Hazlet, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 24. She was born Tina M. Galesi on April 4, 1925 in New York, and grew up in New York City. She moved to Hackensack, where she met her husband, William. After marriage, they started their lives together in Hackensack. In 1957, Tina and William settled in Hazlet to raise their family.

While living in Hazlet, Tina was a devout communicant of St. Benedict Catholic Church in Holmdel. She also enjoyed crafting, going to the movies, and completing crossword puzzles, but most of all, she loved playing games with her children, such as scrabble and trivial pursuit, which could go on for hours at a time. Tina was greatly loved by all of her family.

She was predeceased by her parents, Melchiorre and Beatrice (Mainiente) Galesi; her beloved husband, William D. Costa; her son, Robert Costa; her grandson, James Taylor Cena; and her brother, Joseph Galesi. Tina is survived by her loving children, William J. Costa of East Brunswick, Patricia Bishop and her husband John of Manahawkin, Maryann Costa-Cena of Hazlet, and Christopher Costa of Hazlet; her dear brother, Michael Galesi and his wife Barbara; her cherished grandchildren, Amanda Panick and her husband Dave, William Costa and Carina Cena; her adored great-granddaughter, Alyson Panick; and many treasured nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
