Geraldine M. Engelhardt, 84, of Keyport, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, September 8 at Madison Center in Matawan. She was born Geraldine M. Gromback on December 25, 1931 in Newark, and grew up in West Creek. Geraldine married Frank Engelhardt, and together they settled in Union Beach to raise their family. Later in life, they retired to Florida, and in recent years moved back to Keyport.
She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Dorothy; her sister, Janice; her brother, Butchie; and her granddaughter, Andrea. Geraldine is survived by her beloved husband, Frank; her loving children, Jennifer and her husband Michael of Keyport, Frank of Keyport and Charles and his wife Brenda of Elwood, Indiana; her dear sister, Dorothy; her cherished grandchildren, Charles, Jordan and Brittany; and her adored great-grandchildren, Skyla, James and Brooklyn.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday, September 15 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3269 State Route 35 North, Hazle. A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home during visiting hours on Thursday.
