Albert C. Eremich, 91, of Red Bank, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 11 at Bayshore Hospital in Holmdel. Albert was born in Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania, to John Eremich and Eva Lonoski. He grew up playing sports and in school and was on the football, basketball and track teams. After graduating from Mt. Carmel High School in 1943, he enlisted in the US Navy and served for three years on a minesweeper during World War II. He earned his BS degree from Bloomsburg State Teachers College, where he also was on the football team. He went to work for JC Penney’s in Mt. Carmel, eventually moving to their corporate headquarters in New York as an executive.

In 1967, he reunited with and married his high school sweetheart, “Annie,” and they made Red Bank their home for over 40 years. He was a member of St. James R.C. Church, Red Bank, and American Legion Post 0005 in Rahway.

Albert was predeceased by his beloved wife; parents; and six siblings.

He is survived by his stepdaughter, Rosanne Fisher of Matawan; his stepson, Timothy Fisher and his wife Grace of Ventnor; a grandson, Stephen Fisher of Bedminster; two great-grandsons, Dillon and Kyle Fisher of Hasbrouck Heights; a niece, Kathy Littleton of Las Cruces, New Mexico; and several grand-nieces and nephews.

A memorial mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 29 at 10 a.m. at St. James R.C. Church, 94 Broad St., Red Bank. Memorial contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105, would be appreciated. The Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank, is in charge of arrangements.
