Frank Badali, 88, of Middletown, passed away April 18, 2023. He was born April 28, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York.

Frank will be greatly missed by his wife and best friend of 53 years, Lise, his son Christopher Badali, daughter Jennifer Fogliano and her husband Jeff, and his two adoring granddaughters, Avery and Alessandra.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincenzo and Genneffa Badali.

Frank remained close to friends of over 80 years, going back to his childhood in Brooklyn. He was a hardworking man with a quick wit who charmed people with his intelligence, humor, thoughtfulness, wisdom and generosity.

Frank survived the 1944 polio epidemic, having been cured by his devoted mother via the Sister Elizabeth Kenny Method. The son of immigrants, he attended Lafayette High School, followed by St. John’s University on a full baseball scholarship, and served proudly in the U.S. Navy upon graduation from college.

He had a long and successful career as an insurance broker, including 20 years at Marsh McLennan. Upon retirement, he contributed time to the community, supporting students and athletes in the Middletown schools, and served as head of the town safety council for many years.

Frank loved traveling with his wife and children, savoring trips to places such as Italy and Hawaii, and most recently enjoyed playful visits with his granddaughters.

We will always carry his memory in our hearts.

A viewing took place April 24 at John E. Day Funeral Home in Red Bank. The funeral was held April 25 at St. James Church in Red Bank. In place of flowers, please consider contributing to the Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute in Frank’s honor at allinahealth.org/give.
