Faye G. Hill, 84, of Red Bank and formally of Rumson, passed away Monday, March 7, at Riverview Medical Center. She was one of two children of the late August and Ethel (nee: Manzke) Goellner. Faye moved to Teaneck in 1944 and graduated from Teaneck H.S. in 1949. She then graduated from Paine Hall School in N.Y.C. and worked as a medical technician for various medical providers in the metropolitan area. Faye married George Arthur Hill on December 26, 1952.

Faye, when living in Princeton was an active volunteer at Princeton Hospital.

When she moved to Rumson worked in real estate for many years at various agencies finally opening Faye Hill Realty retiring as the president.

Faye was active in the Monmouth Day Care Center charity and was a key contributor/producer of the centers’ cookbook, “Camel in the Kitchen,” and with her husband, George, were active in the Shrewsbury River Yacht Club.

She lived a long healthy life enjoying summer and winter vacations at a second home in Cape May Point, and enjoyed trips to Caesars Hotel in Atlantic City. In 2007 she and her husband George moved to Sun City Hilton Head in South Carolina where she enjoyed walking, art and bridge. Faye was a member of the Low Country Presbyterian Church of Bluffton, South Carolina, as well as Rumson Presbyterian Church.

Faye is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, George; and her loving children, George R. Hill of North Carolina and Susan Spakowski and her husband Richard of Rumson. Also surviving are her dear grandchildren, Richard Spakowski Jr. and his wife Laura and Zachary Hill Spakowski; and her fond nephew, Donald Gollner and niece Jane Watson.

A Memorial Gathering to celebrate her life will be Friday, March 11 from 3 to 5 p.m. with a service at 5 p.m. at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank. Please visit Faye’s memorial website at www.johnedayfuneralhome.com.
