Huntington, Marion Frances, Age: 77, Keyport

Marion Frances “Truax” Huntington, 77, of Keyport, went to be with the Lord on July 16. Marion was born in West Long Branch, and lived in Keansburg for most of her life until she moved to Keyport in 1997. Marion earned a Black Seal license and worked as a boiler operator for the Hazlet Township Board of Education, retiring in 1999. She also worked in the family meat business, The Meat Doctor, for many years. She was and a member of Grace Bible Fellowship Keyport.

Marion was a loving mother, grandmother, mother-in-law and friend who loved music, Elvis, dancing, celebrating Halloween, St. Patrick’s, Fourth of July, helping at the VFW and flea markets. She was a quiet and caring friend to many who knew her. Her family and friends will miss her dearly but take comfort in the fact that she is no longer suffering and is with loved ones who have left us before.

Surviving are her four sons, Robert and his wife Cynthia Huntington, Fred Huntington, Richard and his wife Karen Huntington, Edward and his wife Carolyn Huntington; eight loving grandchildren, Brett, Andrew, Felicia, Elise, Dana, Delia, Grace and Lily; her cat, Lucky; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marion was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Huntington in 1995; a sister, Barbara DePalma; and a brother, Cecil Truax.

John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, was in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made in Marion’s name to the VFW Port Monmouth post 2179, 1 Veterans Lane, Port Monmouth, NJ 07758 to help them with their charitable efforts in the community, such as assisting disabled and elderly veterans.
