Julia H. Johnson, 95, of Middletown, passed away peacefully at home June 25. She was born to the late Michael and Julia (neé Iastman) Brado in Richeyville, Pennsylvania and grew up in Woodbridge before settling in Middletown, where she resided for 20 years. A parishioner of St. Leo the Great Church in Lincroft and a former parishioner of St. James, Woodbridge, she was a devoted Catholic her entire life. She loved to play cards and would spend hours several times a week playing bridge with her friends. Julia was also a former member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Hopelawn. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Julia is predeceased by her husband John Johnson; her two sisters Mary Kielian and Anna Marincsak; and her sons-in-law Ronald Worobel and Kenneth Brodowski.

Surviving are her children: Bruce and his wife Nina Johnson of Middletown, Linda Worobel of Middletown and Nancy and her husband Richard Roszkowski of Avenel; her seven grandchildren: Ronald Jr., Karen, Nicole, Kristen, Michael, Kathleen and Lauren; and her five great-grandchildren: Brianna, Emily, Justin, Ava, and Portia.

A visitation was held June 29 at John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial took place June 30 at St. James, Red Bank, followed by interment at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Fords.
