Joan A Kearsley, 86, of Middletown, passed away on Thursday, July 21 at Bayside Manor, Keansburg. Born on November 5, 1929 in Jersey City, Joan moved her family to Middletown in 1956. After raising her family, Joan held positions at the Molly Pitcher, Navesink House and Sterns Department Store. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, game shows and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas, in 1976. Surviving her are her two sons, Thomas of San Francisco and William of Atlantic Highlands; her daughter, Barbara and son-in-law Vincent; and three grandchildren, Thomas, Joanna and Andrew, all of Shrewsbury. Joan is also survived by her brother, William Russell of Brigantine.
The family would especially like to thank the nurses and staff at Bayside Manor and to the Cappadona family for all of their kindness and compassion.
