A faithful and loving husband and father Theodore (Ted) Killeen Jr., 83, of Lincroft, died at home on March 31. He was born in San Francisco, California, where he lived for nearly 40 years. He then moved to Middletown where he lived for the next 46.
Educated at St. Ignatius Preparatory in San Francisco, and a graduate from U.C. Berkeley (where he was a member of the Chi Phi fraternity), Ted worked in corporate sales and marketing for about 25 years. He then owned and operated Walker and Walker Realty for many years, as well as worked at Woodward Realty. Upon retirement, he worked part-time at Dearborn Farm Market and also at the election polls.
Ted was a devout communicant of St Mary’s parish, New Monmouth, and was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War.
Ted was predeceased by his beloved wife of 51 years, Diane Killeen, in 2011. Surviving are his son, Michael (and Lisa) Killeen of Howell; his daughter, Deborah (Jerry) Petraroi of Hazlet; his daughter, Pamela Killeen of Des Moines, Iowa; his sister, Jeanne Scherba of Palo Alto, California; and two grandchildren, Nicole and Matthew Killeen.
