Arthur J. Lynch Sr., 80, of Hazlet, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, May 22 at his home. Arthur was born on March 28, 1936 in Jersey City where he grew up. On March 2, 1957, Ar thur and his wife, Helen, were married and began their lives together. In 1960, they moved to Hazlet to raise their family. Before retiring, Arthur worked as a teacher for the Hazlet Board of Education for 33 years. He was also a proud United States Army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict.
He was predeceased by his parents, John and Josephine (Brzozowski) Lynch, his brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Claire Lynch, and his son, Michael Lynch. Arthur is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 60 years, Helen M. (Coughlan) Lynch; his loving sons, Patrick A. Lynch and his wife, Wendy, of Tarpon Springs, Florida, Arthur J. Lynch Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Hazlet, and Daniel J. Lynch and his wife, Mary, of Hazlet; his dear sister and brother-in-law, Doris and Robert Coughlan; his cherished grandchildren, Shaun, Dylan, Ryan, Kyle, Abigail, and Emily, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
