Joseph Muratore, 95, of Holmdel, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, Jan. 19. Joseph was born on Jan. 30, 1920 in Brooklyn, New York, where he grew up and lived for most of his life.

In 2004, he moved to Holmdel. Before retiring, Joseph was the President of A. Muratore Contracting in Brooklyn, New York. He was also a proud United States Army veteran, having served during World War II.

He was predeceased by his parents, Carlo and Francesca (Iannuzzi) Muratore, along with his beloved wife, Carmela (Veltri) Muratore.

Joseph is survived by his loving children, Frances Ferrier and her husband Raymond of Staten Island, New York, Camille Gronquist and her husband A. Richard of Middletown, Esther Klein and her husband Stephen of Clearwater, Florida, and Carl Muratore and his wife Georgette of Middletown. Joseph is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth Incata and her husband George, Michael Ferrier and his wife Sandra, Joseph Ayoub, Steven Ayoub, Cara Muratore, Allie Muratore, Ricky Muratore, and Giulianna Klein, along with his adored great-grandchildren, Marco, Stefano, Isabella, and Gianfranco. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Hazlet, was in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Joseph to the America Heart Association, would be greatly appreciated.
