Lara Danielle Scarantino, age 50 of Lincroft, passed away July 8. Lara was born to Gabriel and MaryAnn Troiano in 1968 and resided in Lincroft.

Lara is a graduate of St. Joseph by the Sea High School in Staten Island and the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City where she earned a bachelor’s degree in fashion and design. She had a career in garment sales in the fashion industry until she decided to become a full-time mother.

Lara is survived by two beautiful daughters, Hailey and Ava, along with her husband Bobby. She is also survived by her mother MaryAnn and three siblings, Gary, Marissa and Corinne and her stepmother Karen.

Lara enjoyed many things and excelled at most. Running was her passion, including completing the New York City marathon, and many people will remember Lara for her unique style of running throughout Lincroft. She lived life to its fullest and never gave less than 100 percent at anything. In addition to her love for God as a devout Catholic, Lara loved travelling, country music, tennis and the beach. Lara adored her three dogs Memphis, Maeve and Maui, but most of all, Lara loved her two daughters and spent most of her time with them.

There was visitation for family and friends July 12 at Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Leo the Great Church, Lincroft.
