Margaret L. Thompson, 56, of Keyport, passed away peacefully on March 22 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, just two months shy of her 57th birthday. Margaret was born on May 22, 1959 in Newark, and grew up in Hazlet. Later in life, she moved to Matawan, where she raised her family. Recently, she settled in Keyport. Margaret contended with health issues for many years, but she always had a never-failing love for her children and family.

She was predeceased by her former husband, John Coker; and her dear sister, Barbara Thompson. Margaret is survived by her adoring parents, Eileen (Jourdan) and Stanley L. Thompson of Hazlet; her loving children, David Dougherty III and Christine Coker both of Keyport; her dear siblings, Charles Thompson and his wife Rocio of California, Patricia Thompson of Hazlet, Peter Thompson and his wife Elizabeth of Aberdeen and Donald Thompson and his wife Marilou of California; her cherished grandchildren, Aiden, Lillyanne, Madison Mae and Arianna; her close friend, Rich Butkiewicz; and many special nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
