Joseph Carlo Verni, 86, of Red Bank, passed away at his home on January 5. Joseph was born in Jersey City to Carlo and Josephine. He worked for many years at Varityper in East Hanover and was a self-employed real estate investor in New Providence. Joseph was also a member of the National Guard of New Jersey.

Joseph was predeceased by his wife, Mary Antoinette Verni (Fedeli), six years ago. They were
married 49 years. He is survived by his seven children, Carlo Verni and his wife Lisa, Rick Verni, Joseph Verni and his wife Hilary, Joann Larsen and her husband Jim, Theresa Ferrara and her husband Joe, Maria Porter and SharonVerni DelDuca and her husband Ricky. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren Julie, Olivia, Aaron, Lisa, Gabriella, Mariana, Eric, Jamie, Vanessa, Adam, Christopher, Jane, Rachel, Anthony, Elena, Mia, Billy and Niko.

Joseph was known for his abundant love and care for his family. He was a kind-hearted, generous and exuberant man who never missed an opportunity for a joke or a song. He will be remembered as a man who worked tirelessly for the benefit of a wonderful life for his family and always did it with a smile in his heart.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 11 at the Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, January 12 at St. James RC Church, Red Bank. Interment followed at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
