Edmund Allen Wall, of Eatontown, formerly a long time resident of Holmdel,
continued his life journey into Heaven to live with his
Heavenly Father and reunite with his beloved daughter Christina Maria on the evening of October 8.
Edmund was born to Daniel and Stella Wall in Brooklyn on June 1, 1932 and grew up
in New Hyde Park, Long Island. After serving in the U.S. Army overseas during
the Korean War, he was honorably discharged in 1960. Ed met his true love, a beautiful Irish lass named Christina
Brady, on Long Island in late 1960. They experienced the beauty and rarity of true love at first sight. Ed and Christina became
parishioners of Saint Catharine’s Roman Catholic Church in Holmdel upon arriving in 1968, and have been parishioners of
Saint Jerome’s Roman Catholic Church in West Long Branch for the last 10 years.
They were married 54 years and lived most of their married life in Holmdel, where they raised their five children.
They have four sons: Eamon, Brendan, Terence and Kevin Barry. Ed and Christina’s beloved daughter Christina Maria,
a loving sister to their sons and a friend to all, passed away in an automobile accident in 1981.
Ed enjoyed a very successful career. In earlier years, he directed award-winning marketing efforts as a manager at several
medical device and pharmaceutical companies, including Baxter Labs and Chase Chemical Company. Subsequently, he
chose a lucrative career in Real Estate and became one of the earliest real estate franchise entrepreneurs in Monmouth
County. Ultimately, Christina joined Ed in the Real Estate business and the two retired successfully in 2007. Edmund will be
remembered as the truest gentleman one could hope to meet. He was an eternal optimist, consummate family man, and a
man of tremendous faith. His was generous with his time and treasure, and freely shared his wit and keen insights with all.
Edmund is survived by his beautiful wife, Christina Maria; a son, Eamon Wall and his wife Eleanor and grandsons, Liam
and Aedan; a son, Brendan Wall and his wife Patricia and grandchildren, Shannon, Cassidy and Brendan; a son, Terence
Wall and his wife Jeanne Marie and grandchildren, Georgette, Charlotte, Maria and Terence “Teddy” Edmund; and a son,
Kevin Barry and his wife Jennifer and grandchildren, Christina, Josette and Margaux. He is also survived by his loving
brother, Kevin and his wife Elizabeth. His older brother, Daniel, predeceased him.
Edmund leaves behind a wealth of warm memories and loving thoughts of many, many other cherished relatives and
friends. His legacy lives on and he will be deeply missed. Visitation was held on Monday October 12 at Holmdel
Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial Funeral was held on Tuesday, October 13 at St Catharine’s Roman Catholic Church,
Middletown. Interment will be at Holmdel Cemetery. Condolences may sent to his wife, Christina, to realtorchristina@
