MIDDLETOWN – The intersection of Half Mile Road and West Front Street will be closed from approximately 8 a.m. on Friday, April 25, until Saturday evening, April 26.
Motorists should use Bruce Road and Harbor Green Circle as an alternate routes. Detour signs will be posted. The intersection will be open for emergency vehicles only.
Short-term water service interruption will start at approximately 9 a.m. Friday, April 25, for residential customers on Harbor Green Circle, Alexa Place, Page Drive, Bernard Drive, and Sterling Court. There will be no water service or hydrant service.
To protect residents in the area, there will be a fire watch with fire department apparatuses and personnel on standby during the 4 to 5 hours the water is expected to be off. According to the water company, it will not be necessary to boil the water once the service is turned back on.

The road closure and service interruption is part of an New Jersey American Water project to install new a water main on West Front Street from Middletown-Lincroft Road to Half Mile Road.
