LITTLE SILVER – Red Bank Regional High School students were among those who participated in a National Shutdown Jan. 30 to protest U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) actions as part of the agency’s crackdown on illegal immigration.

LITTLE SILVER – Sometimes it takes a while for a first-year head coach to connect with his team and build the trust and culture that makes a winning program. At Red Bank Regional, Tyler Karalewich had the daunting task of filling the massive shoes of Shane Fallon, one of the Shore’s all-time great football coaches.

LITTLE SILVER – Shane Fallon’s second chapter coaching varsity football has come to an end.  Fallon announced his retirement from coaching and teaching at Red Bank Regional following a four-year stint at the school where his father, George, was athletic director in the 1980s.

The Hoop Group Showcase at Georgian Court University gave three local girls basketball teams some elite competition on a Sunday afternoon.

RED BANK – Project Write Now (PWN) marked its 10th anniversary Nov. 20, with a commemorative show hosted at Two River Theater, one of its many community partners. The evening featured an exhibition, writer performances, an awards presentation and a celebratory toast.

A successful season on the diamond for local teams extended into the summer as 16 players from The Two River Times area were part of the Jersey Shore All-Stars team that won the Philadelphia Phillies Carpenter Cup. The Major League Baseball franchise puts on an annual event featuring 16 teams of high school all-stars from New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

Advancing the conversation on youth mental health, Sen. Vin Gopal and mental health advocate Amy Kennedy dialed into student experiences to get a first-hand account of the impact of school-based youth services like The SOURCE at Red Bank Regional High School.

Name a dog after the Norse god of mischief and you should expect some high jinks. But the German shepherd mix Loki really lived up to his name last week, taking his family, a heroic teenager, the police and an entire community on an adventure that could have ended in heartbreak.
