MIDDLETOWN – The meeting of the Middletown Township Historical Society will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, June 16 at the Poricy Park Nature Center at 345 Oak Hill Road.
The session will feature historian Michael Adelberg who will present a new talk titled, “They Do More Harm than Good: The Continental Army in Middletown Township, 1776-79.” Not only was Middletown a hotbed during the Revolution, but one of its infamous events occurred on the site of the meeting, the slaying of patriot Joseph Murray.
Adelberg, who has researched the American Revolution for more than 20 years, is a compelling speaker who always reveals new information and fresh insights.
Visitors are welcome and refreshments are served.
