Brookdale Vice President to Receive Diversity Award

LINCROFT – Webster Trammell of Middletown, vice president of development, community and governmental relations at Brookdale Community College, will receive a Diversity Champion Award from the South Central Jersey Regional Network of the American Conference on Diversity.
Trammell will be honored at the Annual Dining for Diversity Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, at Forsgate Country Club in Monroe.
Proceeds from the event will help fund scholarships for the American Conference on Diversity signature Lead for Diversity (LFD) program, reaching more than 20,000 youth each year.
Trammel has been involved in many community and professional organizations throughout his 45-year career in educational administration. He has served as chairman of various organizations, including the board of directors of the Monmouth Family Health Center, the board of trustees of Monmouth Medical Center, the Monmouth County Board of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services and the Monmouth County Urban League. He was chairman of the Monmouth County United Way Board of Directors and currently chairs its Public Policy Committee. He has been a member of the board of directors of the Monmouth County Workforce Investment Board.
Trammel currently serves as chairman of the Monmouth County Committee on Homelessness Population. He is a member of the Monmouth County Strategic Planning Committee and serves on the board of directors of the Two River Theater Company, Monmouth University and the SCAN advisory board. He is a member of the legislative affairs and governance committees of the New Jersey Hospital Association and is an active member of the Monmouth-Ocean Development Council.
