Charlie E. Burden, 75, of Red Bank, passed away peacefully on May 17, with his loving family by his side. Charlie was born in Newark to Elmer and Dorothy Burden. He served his Country in the US Navy and was a member of the Floor Covering Union, Local 2212, in Union until his retirement in 2003.
Charlie enjoyed freshwater fishing and softball, he was an avid newspaper reader, a weather enthusiast and a member of “The Brothers Lunch Club.” Charlie was predeceased by his parents and his in-laws, Anthony and Kathryn Peduto. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Lou Burden; his son, Jonathan Burden and his wife Jill of Red Bank; his daughters, Melissa Houck and her husband Stephen of Red Bank and Amanda Weber and her husband John of Middletown; his brothers, Roy Burden and his wife Kristina of Arizona, Kenneth Burden and his late wife Mary of Red Bank, William and his wife Anna of North Carolina and Vincent Burden of Asbury Park; his sister, Dorothy Borden and her husband William of Point Pleasant; his grandchildren, Ashley, Anthony, Molly, Charlie and Sean; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
