Herber t C. Dietrich, 80, of Hazlet, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, September 22. Herbert was born on October 10, 1935 in Long Branch. He grew up in Keyport and also lived in Union Beach. On September 8, 1979, he married the love of his life, Muriel (Leonard) Dietrich, and together they settled in Hazlet. Before retiring, Herbert worked as a concrete driver for Teamsters Local #469 in Red Bank.
He was predeceased by his parents, Herbert M. and Virginia (Derby) Dietrich. Herbert is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Muriel R. Dietrich; his loving children, Margaret Dietrich of Washington, Susan Ross and her husband, Steve, of Florida, Herbert Dietrich of Florida, Scot Dietrich of Colorado, Scott Connor and his wife, Sharon, of Atlantic Highlands and Greg Connor and his wife, Laura, of Hazlet. Herbert is also survived by his dear siblings, Ken Dietrich and his wife, Snookie, of Keyport and Peggy Colton of Florida; his cherished grandchildren, Michelle, Shane, Nicole, Kelsey, Ryan, Chelsea, Chris, Nicole, Marc, Jeremy and Erin; along with 10 adored great-grandchildren.
