Dr. and Mrs. Anthony Terra

Dr. and Mrs. Anthony Terra celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 27, 2015.
Dr. Terra is a retired orthodontist whose practice was in Little Silver. He was a member of the Monmouth Medical Center Cleft Palate Team for 35 years and has gone on 15 volunteer medical missions to the Hospital De La Familia in Guatemala and Ha Long Bay in Vietnam.
In 1965, after graduation from the NYU College of Dentistry, Dr. Terra volunteered for military service and was assigned to the 45th Field Hospital in Vicenza, Italy. After 3 1/2 years, Dr. Terra left the Army with the rank of major. His interest in public service included six years as an Oceanport councilman.
Mrs. Terra, the former Rosemarie Gaglianese, has been a homemaker involved in many volunteer and community service projects. She was editor of the Oceanport Bulletin and an Our Town journalist for the Two River Times.

The couple currently are “snowbirds” and split their time between New Jersey and St. Petersburg, Florida. They 
have two children, Dr.
 Matthew Terra and Ms. Dana Terra and four grandchildren, Gianna, Roman, Dante and Liliana.
The Terras travel extensively throughout Europe, especially Italy, Spain and France, and are planning an extended stay in the Veneto area visiting friends and enjoying the Italian small town life. They celebrated their 50th on a cruise in the Mediterranean and with their family in the Turks and Caicos.
