Laura Budzyna and Benjamin Grimmnitz

Laura Katherine Budzyna is to be married to Benjamin Soule Grimmnitz on Sept. 27 at The Alerin Barn in St. Johnsbury, Vt., followed by a reception at the same location.
The Rev. Brendan Hadash will officiate the ceremony. Christyn and Michelle, sisters of the bride, will be the maids of honor and Forrest Tobie, friend of the groom, will serve as best man.
Laura is the daughter of John Budzyna and the late Kathee Budzyna. She grew up in Middletown and is a graduate of High Technology High School, Lincroft. She also graduated from Middlebury College, Middlebury, Vt., where she received a Bachelor of Arts in international studies, and Columbia University’s School for International and Public Affairs, where she received a Master’s of Public Administration in development practice. She is currently the monitoring, evaluation and learning coordinator at the International Development Innovation Network, headquartered at MIT’s D-Lab.
Benjamin is the son of Harry Grimmnitz and Marty Soule of Readfield, Maine. He is also a graduate of Middlebury College, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology and anthropology. Benjamin earned his medical degree at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and currently works as a resident physician in emergency medicine at Boston Medical Center.
Laura and Ben are both globetrotters: Laura’s work in international development has taken her to 10 countries throughout Latin America and Africa, and Ben’s medical studies have taken him to Nicaragua, Vietnam, Spain and Peru.

Following their wedding, the couple will travel to Quebec, Canada, for their honeymoon then return home to Boston, Mass.
