RED BANK — Richard M. Maser, CEO and president of Maser Consulting P.A., a multidiscipline engineering firm, has been honored by the American Red Cross Jersey Coast Chapter as its 2014 Clara Barton Corporate Humanitarian.
The recognition celebrates an individual who dedicates his or her time and energy to recognizing the humanity of their neighbors through philanthropic and community involvement.
“It is an honor to receive this award,” Maser said. “Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with many communities throughout the region, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to give back. I look forward to expanding these efforts in the future.”
Maser has supported communities philanthropically through the long-term service he provided as a board member for Brookdale Community College, Count Basie Theatre and Salvation Army. He has been recognized for his support on The Community YMCA Board in raising donations that grossed more than $1 million. He also sponsors Engineering Better Readers, a pilot program at the Camden Street Elementary School in Newark that invites practicing engineers to help students become better readers through the donation of their time, mentoring and other incentives.
Maser accepted the award during the 31st Annual Red Cross Gala at the Eagle Oaks Golf and Country Club in Farmingdale.
