Abigail Kelly held a breast cancer fundraiser at last weekend's RFH Pop Warner games.

Seventh grade student Abigail Kelly from Rumson raised more than $1,000 for a local breast cancer charity last weekend. Abigail designed a t-shirt emblazoned with the saying “Go Pink or Go Home” and the iconic pink ribbon. She added paw prints, representative of the RFH Pop Warner Bull Dogs, and sold the t-shirts and pink bracelets at Pop Warner football games.
Abigail’s brothers, AJ and Timmy, play for Pop Warner, so she approached the organization about holding the fundraiser at home games last weekend
Pop Warner representatives decided to dedicate last weekends’ games to breast cancer awareness. The home field, Two River Times Field  at Borden Stadium, was decked out in pink ribbons and crepe paper. Football players and cheerleaders added a splash of pink to their uniforms.
With the help of Firehouse Specialty Shop in Red Bank, Abigail’s design was printed in pink on black t-shirts. The money that she raised from the sale will benefit The Beauty Foundation for Cancer Care, a Red Bank-based charity that assists local families affected by breast cancer by easing the financial strain by helping to cover the costs of the things not covered by health care insurance.
