Donald B. Steel passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 25. Born in Red Bank, Donald was a lifelong resident of Monmouth County. He was a graduate of Red Bank High School, Gettysburg College and Seton Hall Law School.
Donald was a member of the Monmouth County Bar Association and a former partner at the Reussille Law Firm. A loving father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, Donald was also an active member and past president of the Red Bank Rotary. He was a lifelong sports fan who played basketball in high school and college and an avid golfer who loved to spend his time on the greens.
Donald was predeceased by his father, John Steel. Surviving are his two daughters, Megan Steel of Little Silver and Samantha White and her husband Ian of Lincroft; his mother, Marilyn Steel of Red Bank; a brother, Douglas Steel and his family of New York City; three grandchildren, Zoey Steel, Beckett White and Donovan White. Also surviving are several extended loving relatives and dear friends.
The family will receive friends at a Memorial Gathering on Wednesday, November 2 from 5 to7 p.m. at Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St., Red Bank. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Family & Children’s Service in Long Branch at www.fcsmonmouth.org.
