ASBURY PARK
Award winning photographer Debra L. Rothenberg will be at Where Music Lives from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, for a book signing of her recently released “Bruce Springsteen In Focus 1980 -2012.”
Where Music Lives, an exhibit and performance space, located at 708 Cookman Ave., also will be hosting a two-month exhibit featuring the best of the 276 Springsteen photos from Rothenberg’s new 200-page book.
The book signing and slide show presentation is free and open to the public but seating is limited. The program is part of the Light Of Day music festival that will take place in Asbury Park this week.
“Bruce Springsteen In Focus 1980-2012” was ranked one of the season’s top-five photography books by The Wall Street Journal.
LITTLE SILVER
The Deep Cut Orchid Society will hold an orchid seminar from 11 a.m. to 2 p. m. Saturday, Jan. 18, in the greenhouse at Sickles Market, One Harrison Ave.
Attendees will be able to spend a few hours in the warm, tropical greenhouse while learning about growing orchids in your own home.

LONG BRANCH
The Long Branch Public Library will celebrate the life of Martin Luther King Jr. with a Dr. King Film Festival from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18 at the library, 328 Broadway.
The program – which will feature several documentaries, including footage of King’s historic speech, and Spike Lee’s HBO documentary “4 Little Girls” – is appropriate for all ages. Additional information is available by calling the library at 732-222-3900.
MIDDLETOWN
The Middletown Senior Center is hosting on Thursday, Jan 30, its third-annual Super Bowl Party, at the senior center at Croydon Hall, 900 Leonardville Road.
Kick-off is at noon in the East Wing Auditorium. The cost is $8 and includes a tailgate buffet, music, games and prizes.
The center welcomes Middletown residents, ages 60 and older.
Preregistration is required by Jan. 23 for current and new members.

OCEANPORT
The Oceanport Garden Club will be meeting at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at the Old Wharf House on Main Street.
The meeting will be followed by lunch at noon.
The artistic designs theme for the floral arrangers is “The Tea Pot is Ready,” a design of their choice staged in a teapot with an underlay and background as desired. The program, which starts at 1 p.m., will show a DVD of the club’s Victorian tea party held a few years ago. Similarly, a “Happy Hatters Tea Party” is planned for May. All are welcome.
