HIGHLANDS – Borough police have charged a Highlands man with sexually assaulting and providing alcohol to a minor.
According to the criminal complaint submitted to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Freehold, on Tuesday, Dec. 3, Brian C. Kelly, 24, sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl on July 31, 2012. He was also charged with giving a minor alcohol on the same date.
Superior Court Judge Honora O’Brien Kilgallen set Kelly’s bail at $150,000, with the option to post a 10 percent bond, according to the complaint.
Kelly is scheduled for his initial court appearance on Dec. 17.
