HIGHLANDS – Chilangos Restaurant is holding a fundraiser on Sunday, Sept. 22, to raise money to help the borough’s first aid squad.
Chilangos owner Leo Cervantes said he will be supplying all the food for the benefit. Patrons will be able to get two tacos and a non-alcoholic beverage for $10, all of which will be donated to the first aid squad.
Cervantes decided to hold the fundraiser after hearing about the dilapidated condition of the squad’s ambulances. He is hoping be able to help buy a new ambulance or at least pay for repairs for the squad’s emergency equipment.
The event will be held from noon to 6 p.m. in the parking lot of Chilangos, 272 Bay Ave.
