Daniel F. Trezza, 62, of Belford, passed away peacefully Sept. 23 with his family by his side at the Hackensack Memorial Hospital. Daniel was born Oct. 1, 1956 in Red Bank. He attended Middletown High School. After graduating he went to work for JCP&L. He met his wife Sally and they settled in Belford to raise their family.
Daniel was the beloved son of Joyce and Daniel. He was a devoted husband of Sally for 36 wonderful years. Daniel is survived by his children, Erin and her husband Jon, Nicole and her husband Kenny, and his son Jeffrey. He was also the loving brother of Joyce and her husband Mike, Linda and her husband Bill, and Jim and his wife Kathleen. Daniel was also the cherished grandfather of Evan, Eliza and Ryan.
Daniel loved his Giants and always enjoyed football Sunday; he also enjoyed watching the Yankees. He always loved his Father’s Day parties and enjoyed spending precious time with all of his family. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
Daniel will be reposing Thursday, Sept. 26 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home, 1735 Route 35, Middletown. A prayer service will begin at 7 p.m. Family and friends are also invited to come to the funeral home at 10 a.m. Sept. 27. Interment will take place at 10:30 a.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Middletown.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Daniel’s memory.
