Charles Robert “Bobby” Monahan, 53, of Madeira Beach, Florida, passed away Oct. 30. Bobby was born in Red Bank on Feb. 13, 1966, a son of Patricia-Anne and Thomas Monahan. He was raised in Belford and travelled around before settling in Florida 15 years ago.
Bobby was a boat captain and long-liner fisherman on the vessel Big Dog, out of Tampa. He enjoyed being outdoors whether he was out fishing or camping in the family cabin in Canada. Bobby was an avid New York Mets and Miami Dolphins fan. Bobby could always put a smile on your face. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Bobby is survived by his parents, Thomas “Jack” and Patricia-Anne Monahan and his daughter Anabel Monahan, along with his brother Jimmy Monahan and five sisters: Donna Nole, Erin Dobry, Kerri Monahan, Bridget Green and Diane Johnson. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and dear friends that he considered family.
