
Margaret Ann Molok, 89, of Moore, South Carolina, formerly of Belford, passed away Aug, 2. Margaret was born Feb. 1, 1931 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Mary and John Fassett. She was raised in Pennsylvania and later moved to Newark where she met her husband Carl. They then moved to East Keansburg and later settled in Belford to raise their family. Margaret retired to South Carolina in 2001.
As a young woman, Margaret began her career at AT&T as a phone operator. Next, she was a machine operator at Lily Tulip. Then she managed the cash room at Burlington Coat Factory in Tinton Falls for many years. She retired at the age of 70.
Margaret enjoyed reading, crocheting and puzzles. In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling with her husband Carl. They took local trips to Atlantic City and several cruises over the years.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Carl E. Molok, in 1995 and their sons, Carl Jr. (1966) and John (2010).
Margaret is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Manfred Reinke and three sons, Mark Molok, Steven Molok and his wife Regina, and Paul Molok and his wife Nancy Makofka. Margaret also leaves behind her two sisters, Mary Ruth Borges and Elizabeth Sycz, a brother Richard Fassett, nine grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Margaret loved her family and her many dogs, including her last dog, named Little Bit.
Friends and relatives paid their respects Aug. 6 and 7 at Scott & Kedz Home for Funerals. A funeral service took place Aug. 7, immediately followed by the burial at Bayview Cemetery.
