Judith A. Spence, 74, a lifelong resident of Middletown, passed away at home July 23, 2021. Judi was born in Astoria, New York to the late Huntly and Harriet (Keller) Spence. She was employed by Food Circus for 40 years where she could be found striking up a conversation with anyone that passed her way. She discovered her artistic side in designing beautiful floral arrangements and quickly fell in love with her craft. She became a sought-after crafter at local shows and boutiques and her arrangements have adorned the homes of many. She enjoyed making fall trips to Lancaster, hitting every Christmas Tree Shop on the Cape, and decorating her home for every season.

Judi was predeceased by her beloved son Edward Neville. Surviving are her loving family, daughter and friend Lisa Neville and her partner Rick Petschauer; daughter-in-law Edie Doughty Neville; grandchildren, Hayley and Hunter Neville; brother Bill Spence and his wife Elisa; dear friends Jim and Gail Long, Earl and Sara Stillwell; and her favorite grand-dog Oliver.

The family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the staff of CareOne at Wall and the VNA, for their compassionate care and services.

Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed, and very dear. Until we meet again…

All services are private and under the direction of the John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent in Judi’s memory to the VNA Health Group Foundation.
