Mary M. Hunter, 76, a lifelong resident of Rumson, passed away peacefully July 24, 2021, at Bayside Manor in Keansburg. Mary was born March 20, 1945, in Red Bank to the late Alexander and Mary (Muegge) Hunter. She was an active choir member at St. George’s-by-the-River Episcopal Church in Rumson. Mary cherished the times spent knitting and relaxing at Sea Bright beach. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is predeceased by her siblings, Robert and Alexander Jr. Surviving are her loving nieces and nephew, Kathy, AJ and Maggie Hunter and Liz and Scott Flock, and her grand-nieces and nephews, Anna, Casey, James, Noah and Ewan Hunter and Shane and Jaxon Flock.
A visitation was held July 28 at St. George’s-by-the-River Episcopal Church. A memorial service was held in the church’s garden. Interment followed at Fair View Cemetery in Middletown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent in Mary’s memory to St. George’s-by-the-River Episcopal Church, 7 Lincoln Ave., Rumson, NJ 07760.
