Lois J. Kurz, 87, of Middletown, passed away Sept. 25, 2021, at Riverview Hospital in Red Bank. She was born in Newark and lived in Middletown since 1962. Lois worked as a Director of Membership and Marketing for The Girl Scouts of America. After her retirement she spent much of her free time doing volunteer work, serving as chairperson of RSVP as well as volunteering at Calico Cat and Riverview Medical Center. Lois enjoyed socializing and frequented the senior center to play Rummy Cube; she especially enjoyed being with her family on holidays and special occasions.
Surviving are her daughter Donna Kurz; two sisters, Diona (Fred) Williamson and Joan Griffith; and two nephews, Jeffrey (Chung) Williamson and Scott (Julie) Williamson.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband Donald Kurz and her daughter Linda Kurz.
Visitation was held Sept. 29 at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral ceremony was held during visitation.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to St. Mary’s Church in Middletown.
Arrangements are under the direction of John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown.
