Barbara Joan Gallagher Bogart, 76, of Red Bank, passed away Dec. 6, 2021, at Riverview Medical Center.

Barbara was born in 1945 in Hoboken to James and Rosemary Gallagher. The family moved to Rumson and she graduated from Rumson-Fair Haven High School. She remained lifelong friends with her former spouse Joseph C. Bogart.

Barbara spent two decades as the office manager for two medical practices: Dr. Morris in Lincroft and Dr. Granet in Eatontown. She touched the lives of hundreds of patients who recognized her hard work and appreciated her professionalism. Prior to that, she worked as a secretary for NJ Bell before taking time to raise her two sons.

She will be remembered for her kindness, sweetness, sense of humor and fiery spirit. She was devoted to her friends and family and always willing to sacrifice for their well-being.

Barbara is survived by her son, Joseph J., of Beacon, New York; her granddaughters Clara and Molly; her brother James Gallagher of Atlantic Highlands; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son Jeffrey F.  in 2017, and her sisters Beverly O’Rourke in 2010 and Rosemary Gaynor in 2019.

Visitation was held Dec. 12 at the Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Dec. 13 at St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank.
