Eileen Donohoe, 74, of Red Bank, departed us Jan. 23, 2022. She was born in County Cavan, Ireland, in 1947.

Eileen was predeceased by her sister Mary. She is survived by her sisters Noeleen Cooney and her husband Packie, and Susan; her brother Hugh and his wife Bridget; her nieces Mary, Noel and Siobhan; nephews Kevin, Seamus, Pareig and Mark; many grandnephews and nieces all over Ireland; her life-long friend Patricia Kiely and family; and her cousins Peg Lelivelt, Maureen Carter and Susan Delaney who will miss her greatly.

She immigrated to the U.S. in 1965 and settled in New York for many years before moving to Red Bank in 1998. Eileen spent her entire career in banking.

Eileen was always ready to go anywhere with you and was a generous, loyal friend. She was a great conversationalist, liked to discuss politics and found a friend in everyone. Going to the “Y,” Red Hats, senior groups, Broadway shows and the casinos were great fun for her.

Eileen loved her Catholic faith and was a parishioner of St. James RC Church. She will be buried in the family plot in Ireland.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5 at St. James RC Church, 94 Broad St., Red Bank. In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation to St. James Church or a charity of your choice.

Thompson Memorial Home in Red Bank has been entrusted with the arrangements.
