Mary “Colleen” Moore, 92, of Middletown, passed away peacefully June 5, 2022, at Bayside Manor in Keansburg. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, and, together with her husband John, raised their family in Middletown.

Colleen worked as a nursery school teacher for St. Mary School for over 25 years. A woman of deep faith, she was devoted to her church, St. Mary’s, Middletown, and actively served it as a Eucharistic Minister and a member of Mary Mother of God prayer group. She lived an exemplary life, marked by prayerfulness, good deeds and kind words. All will remember her twinkling Irish eyes, beautiful smile and sense of fun.

Colleen was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She leaves behind to cherish her memory three daughters, Susan (John) Elliott, Noreen Haas and Maryann Owens; her son Sean Moore; eight grandchildren, Jimmy (Rose), Kaitlin, Tricia, Jacob (Mikaela), Meghan (Austin), Kendra, Francis and John; and four great-grandchildren.

Colleen was preceded in death by her husband, John Moore; her sons-in-law, Rodger Haas and Kenneth D. Owens; and her brothers, Jack and Joe Stillwell.

Visitation was held June 8 at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. June 9 at Mary Mother of God Church, 19 Cherry Tree Farm Road, Middletown.
